2026.9.0 reply where the work is, and see who is still waiting

Two things coordinators do all day got rebuilt since 2026.8.1: replying to a patient, and working out who hasn't heard back. The Conversations inbox is now organised around the reply itself, and Prospects can tell you who was contacted and never answered.
The reply pane is the inbox
Conversations used to make you pick a conversation, then find somewhere to answer it. The reply pane is now the centre of the screen, and the queue's actions (claiming a conversation, resolving it) sit in that pane's header, next to the message you are answering.
The queue also opens only what it can actually reply to, and re-reads a conversation after you claim it, so you are never composing against a stale copy. When the queue is empty it now says why, instead of showing a blank panel.
New message is hidden when Reply already has a channel to use, so there is one obvious way to answer rather than two that look equivalent.
A round of layout fixes came with it: the composer no longer collapses to nothing, long messages wrap instead of spilling out of their column, and the split-pane rows stack cleanly at narrower widths.
Who did we contact and never hear back from?
Prospects gains an Assigned to column, so a record belongs to a person rather than to the list. Alongside it is a filter for prospects who were contacted and never replied, the follow-up list that previously had to be reconstructed by hand.
Reason, Priority and Status can now be changed inline from the list. Correcting a status no longer means opening the record and coming back.
When you confirm a referral, you can set the prospect's priority and assignee at that moment, rather than confirming first and going back to route it afterwards.
An appointment booked in your EMR can be recorded here
Where a physician appointment is booked in your EMR, it can now be recorded on the prospect's record, beside Book appointment, so the schedule reflects what is really happening. It reserves no clinic time, and the two systems are not linked: this records the booking, it does not sync it, so a change made in the EMR still needs to be reflected here.
Tidying the referral name registry
Referrals builds a registry of referring-physician names. Staff can now retire a row that isn't actually a name, the stray text that gets picked out of a fax header, instead of leaving it to clutter the list. Confirming names in bulk is faster, and the matching behind it treats the same physician written two ways as one person more reliably.
Anonymous signup is now an explicit choice
Anonymous public signup was left on for new clinics by a framework default rather than by a decision. Every tenant now carries an explicit value for it, visible in settings, and it is off unless a clinic turns it on. Public demo tenants, which need signup to work, keep it on deliberately.
Also in this release
- Follicle sizes came back empty on the care record; they now load correctly.
- The patient cycle view returned an authorisation error for every patient.
- The release welcome card offers the guided tour instead of starting it unprompted.
- On the sign-in screen, the show-password toggle stays inside the field when a validation message appears.
- SMS delivery is a per-clinic opt-in in production.
In preview, not yet enabled
AI Scribe (structured note fields, a live in-room checklist that fills in as the visit happens, and linking an encounter to its treatment cycle) has substantial work in this release. It is not enabled by default, and stays off until we turn it on with you. It is still being validated. Talk to us if you would like it switched on for a pilot.
