2026.8.0 — Conversations, outreach sequences, and a referral status portal

Product & Engineering

The first calendar-versioned release brings the biggest change to day-to-day coordinator work so far: every conversation with a patient — phone, text, portal and email — now lands in one shared worklist, and follow-up runs on sequences your clinic authors rather than a fixed cadence.

Conversations replaces the Phone Agent dashboard

Voice, text, portal and email conversations now share a single Conversations worklist, with read state tracked per person so your team can tell what nobody has picked up. The views the old Phone Agent dashboard offered are still there as tabs.

Every prospect and patient record also carries its own Conversations panel, showing everything that person has said across channels. Conversations attach through a strong identifier only — never a phone number alone — so a shared household number can't attribute one person's call to another.

Outreach sequences you author

The built-in five-step cadence is replaced by sequences your clinic writes, versions, and enables independently. Alongside texts, calls and waits, a sequence can now ask the patient a question and wait for their answer — including a preference question that confirms the referral was received and asks how they'd like to be contacted.

You write the wording. What the answers mean is fixed by the platform, so a reworded menu can't change what a reply does.

A referral status portal

Someone who has been referred but isn't yet a patient can now follow a secure emailed link, confirm their date of birth, and see where their referral stands — as well as supply missing details, review their demographics including partner information, and book their intake call. It's off by default.

Safety and privacy

  • A caller who hasn't consented to receive health information is now told so before being asked for a date of birth, rather than after.
  • Failed identity checks are limited for 24 hours, and the limit follows the caller — hanging up and redialing no longer grants a fresh set of attempts.
  • A suspected medical emergency now gets a clear direction to call 911, and the assistant stays on the line.
  • Prospects can hold consent in their own right, and it carries over when they become a patient.
  • Every notification email carries an unsubscribe link and supports one-click unsubscribe.

Also in this release

  • A Withdrawn outreach stage for a patient who tells you they no longer wish to proceed — distinct from returning a referral to the referring physician.
  • An Overdue highlight on the Prospects list for referrals nobody has picked up within your clinic's turnaround target.
  • Read receipts on secure messages sent to prospects.
  • Referrals can be uploaded directly, including from an existing patient's page.
  • The notification bell now persists, and its items link to what they're about.
  • Availability no longer offers a slot held by a checked-in patient, and the assistant never offers a time that has already passed.
