Staff copilot
The staff copilot is an internal AI assistant for your team. Ask a question in plain language and get an answer grounded in your clinic's own internal documents — with citations back to the source. It's the internal counterpart to the patient-facing knowledge base: same grounded-answer principle, but for your staff's operational knowledge.
What it's for
Staff spend time hunting through SOPs, protocols, and policies. The copilot lets them ask instead — "what's our protocol for X?", "what does our policy say about Y?" — and get a direct answer drawn from documents your clinic has approved, across categories like standard operating procedures, protocols, HR, operations, and compliance.
Grounded and cited
Every answer is grounded in your internal materials and shows citations to the documents it came from, so staff can verify and read further. If the copilot can't find a good match, it says so rather than guessing.
Curating internal knowledge
Internal documents follow the same human-controlled lifecycle as the patient knowledge base — uploaded as Draft, reviewed and set to Active to make them answerable, and Archived when retired. Staff with the right permission manage that library and can re-index or reconcile it against your source files.
Privacy
The copilot is built for an environment with sensitive data:
- Personal health information is kept out. Queries are checked, and a question containing personal health details is blocked rather than processed.
- Every query is audited for compliance.
Availability
The staff copilot is enabled per clinic (and is turned on by default for new clinics). If you don't see it, check with your Fertiligent contact.
